Plumbing, More Plumbing, and…..Framing?

FTNG fans, the past few weeks here have been pretty exciting as we’ve watched both our construction efforts develop and, excitedly, our fundraising efforts get dramatically closer to our goal (more on that here)!

As far as our construction efforts are concened, let’s take a look at some recent pictures of how our lower level is starting to take shape.

As of today, we are ready (and waiting!) for the City of Flint to come inspect several key trade efforts. This week we are wrapping up overhead plumbing, electrical demolition, and starting in with ductwork installation (HVAC), and piping for the boiler system.

Next week we are moving into the bulk of our steel framing and electrical rough-in.

Probably the coolest thing that happened here was when they brought in a specialized cutting machine to cut through the original foundation footing to give us a new hallway access point. (I didn’t know when it was taking place and so I missed getting that on camera, sorry!)

Excitedly….we’re now seeing steel framing going up! It’s going to be an exciting few weeks as the shape begins to stop looking like a demolition yard and starts to resemble the future home of youth ministry here at FPCF.

Grace and peace,

—JN
